Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I get my home treated for pests?
The frequency of treatment depends on the type of pests and the severity of the infestation. Typically, we recommend quarterly treatments for general pest control. This will give you a year round protection barrier.
Are your treatments safe for pets and children?
Yes, our treatments are eco-friendly and designed to be safe for both pets and children. We always recommend following any safety instructions provided to you by our technicians.
How much does a pest control treatment cost?
General pest control treatment costs are based on the size of the structure and the type of service needed. We offer free inspections and estimates for all services.
Do you offer packages?
We offer several packages to ensure your home stays pest free. Our most popular package is the Residential Quarterly Barrier which offers 12 months of coverage. We will come out and treat each quarter to keep a protective barrier in place. This plan includes unlimited re-sprays and also includes interior rodent bait stations.
How does your treatment work?
All of our services start with an initial inspection. This is critical to properly identify the pest and infestation severity. We use EPA registered products as well as integrated pest management to reduce environmental impact. We use a combination of liquid pesticides, aerosols, dusts, and more. Most of our treatments start with an exterior perimeter spray to kill pests on contact and leave behind a residual that will eliminate pests who cross that protective barrier. If needed, we will treat troubled areas or the interior of your property.
Are your products safe?
Our products are EPA registered and safe for kids and pets after the product has fully dried. We will never apply products to areas that don’t need it. This helps keep you, your pets, and the environment safe.
Do I have to be home for treatment?
If you are having the inside if your home treated, someone over the age of 18 must be present. If you are only having the outside of your home treated, no one needs to be home. Please make sure our technicians have full access to your property. Please unlock any gates and secure pets to ensure a safe treatment.
How do I know when Spray Cool is coming?
We will send you an email to schedule at least 2 days prior to service. If you miss our email, we will still treat the exterior and can return for the interior service at any time.
Do you offer a warranty?
All of our “one time” services come with a 45 day warranty. If you are on a regularly scheduled service plan such as our Residential Quarterly Barrier, you will have a warranty as long as the plan is active. If pests come back, so do we.
I only want treatment for ants, can you do that?
Our one time service is available for customers who wish to have a specific pest eliminated. Pricing is based on the specific pest, location, and infestation severity.
Can I have a one-time treatment for my entire house?
While we do offer one time treatments, this isn’t the recommended treatment choice. Pest management requires multiple specialized treatments to be effective. A one time treatment will flush out hiding pests and get an initial barrier in place, however, over time this will wear off and pests may re-infest. We recommend a quarterly plan for most homes and businesses. If the infestation is severe or the chance of re-infestation is high, we may recommend a monthly plan.
Do you offer treatment for only rodents?
Yes, we offer a one-time rodent package or a maintenance plan. Maintenance plans are ideal for commercial establishments who are at high risk for rodent activity. We will identify harborage areas and entry points where rats/mice may be hiding. We use a combination of baits and traps to eliminate your infestation.
Does rain affect exterior pest control treatments?
Excessive rain can affect exterior pest control treatments. Spray Cool technicians are always weather aware and will reschedule if necessary.
Are contracts required for pest control service?
We do not require contracts for our services. We do however ask that our customers agree to a “service agreement” prior to beginning any pest control services. This will ensure both the customer and technician are understanding the treatments needed.
I don’t currently have any pest problems. Should I still receive service?
Regular pest control services are crucial for prevention, even in the absence of visible pests. Our consistent treatments aid in detecting early signs of pests, averting infestations, and fortifying effective pest defenses. Moreover, continuous pest management enhances the overall health of your property.
Why are regular scheduled services important after the initial treatment?
Keep in mind that pest control is usually an ongoing process rather than a one-time event. The initial treatment marks the start; ongoing maintenance is essential to keep pests at bay, as nature continually supplies them. Our seasonal service appointments are flexible, adjusting to evolving environmental conditions and potential pest risks year-round. We employ proactive strategies to anticipate pest issues, ensuring you can relax knowing your home is protected.
